Kerry Christman is an artist-educator who is finishing her Masters in Art Education plus teaching licensure at Virginia Commonwealth University with the expectation to graduate in December of 2022. Kerry's belief in the benefits of art education is its potential to foster wonder and curiosity across different learning disciplines, and provide meaningful ways for student learning engagement. Her research interests focus on integrating art education with environmental and scientific education. Miss Christman has been an art instructor at the Art Factory for three years teaching and developing various art classes including finger painting, needle felting, silk painting, scratch art, drawing, and more. She is humbled for the opportunity to teach and share her love for art in a community-centered approach.
In recent years, Miss Christman's artwork has been exploring the practice and application of her visual arts background of drawing and painting towards learning other media of arts, like fiber art and illustration. Miss Christman's artwork can be accessed through her artist-educator website at https://www.kerrychristman.com as well as her services for art commissions, private art tutoring, or art portfolio help.
We loved seeing her work last night! Very talented!
